Four Lines

That's all it took. In four short lines, Emily Dickinson sums up whole philosophies of life and thought, a feat far beyond my own skills.

Poem 8 (59)

By Chivalries as tiny,
A Blossom, or a Book,
The seeds of smiles are planted -
Which blossom in the dark.

~Emily Dickinson
